Ivanhoe East Primary School are looking to partner with Code Camp to offer a weekly STEM program, starting in Term 3. Code Camp After-School allows kids to hone their creative skills and keep practising through weekly sessions over the term! Our fun and engaging content ensures students learn new creative skills in a safe, educational environment.
Students in Years K-2 | We have created a truly special new program. We have launched Curious Minds' by Code Camp, an 8-week program exploring how technology and science are shaping our world; from virtual reality to electric cars, crypto currency to super seaweed (carbon handprints and footprints), NFTs and more. Each week we're teaching our littlest students about a BIG IDEA via fun and engaging hands-on activities. Your kids will then be teaching you!
Students in Years K-2 | Your child will love the fun and interactive way we teach kids to code at Little Coders. It’s so much fun, they won’t realise they’re learning! An 8-week program where students discover the basics of coding and take their first steps to becoming a coding superstar. Kids will learn drag and drop coding with if statements, algorithms and logic, and more within our bespoke learning platform, Code Camp World!
Students in Years 2-6 | We have reimagined our coding program to include weekly challenges, functions, algorithms, branching, variables, game logic, user experience and maths. An 8-week program with a new project each week, and the fun doesn’t have to stop after class! Your child will be provided with their very own Code Camp World account which they can use to continue creating at home and to share their projects with family and friends.
Students in Years 2-6 | Animation after school is the exciting connection between storytelling, art and technology! Over the course of the term, your child will create movies from scratch using stop-motion animation. Stop-motion is the process of taking multiple images of objects and stitching them together to look like they’re moving - it’s an incredibly fun and creative way to tell a story! Working with both clay and LEGO, they’ll develop an idea for their first short film, create a set, design and build characters and bring it all to life taking hundreds of photos to create an animated movie! In post-production they’ll edit their masterpiece and add music, sound effects and credits.
Students in Years | Over 8 sessions your child will discover design fundamentals, then experience the magic of fashion sketches, mood boards and patterns as they design a stunning three-piece fashion collection. They’ll delve into the world of interior design learning about space, colour, lighting, and more before creating a floorplan for their dream house and redesigning their own bedroom. Plus, everyone will develop a brand identity for their fashion and interior brands and compile a portfolio to showcase their creations.
Students in Years 2-6 | At Robotics, imagination meets innovation. Kids will explore the magic of robotics, using coding and programming to bring their robot to life! They'll command their robot to navigate mazes, solve puzzles, and even compete in a wrestling match with other robots. Get ready to code, create, and have a blast with robots! Included in the cost of the program is an Edison robot for every child to participate equally in the course! They will be able to take it home at the end of the term with material to keep learning.
Students in Years 2-6 | Minecraft Engineers is our latest exciting blend of coding, engineering, and creativity using everyone’s favourite game. This new 8-week program is designed to pique students' curiosity and provide a foundation in engineering and programming using a game that we know students absolutely love -- Minecraft! In the first term of Minecraft Engineers, students will learn to build a rollercoaster throughout the term by learning and applying basic engineering concepts and command-based programming in an age-appropriate way.
